Family Sponsorship

SPOUSAL AND DEPENDANT CHILDREN SPONSORSHIP

Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their spouse, common law or conjugal partner and their dependent children including adopted children to become permanent residents of Canada.

BROTHERS, SISTERS, NEPHEWS, NIECES AND GRANDCHILDREN

You can sponsor your brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, or grandchildren who are:

• orphans;
• are under the age of 18; and
• are not married or in a common-law relationship.

PARENT AND GRANDPARENT SPONSORSHIP

Canadian citizens or permanent residents can sponsor their parents and grandparents to become permanent residents of Canada. There is an eligibility criterion to apply for the parents.

PARENT AND GRANDPARENT SUPER VISA

The super visa allows parents or grandparents of Canadian permanent residents or citizens to visit their children or grandchildren for up to two consecutive years at a time. It is a multiple-entry visa that allows. Both the applicant and the inviter child or a grandchild are required to meet the criteria laid down by the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada.
